Cringe, cringe
I just listened to the worst recording of Russian Easter Overture that I have EVER heard. It made me want to do some serious injury to myself. I think that my ears might have bled. *sobs*
For those of you who do not know, Russian Easter Overture is only my favorite piece of classical music, ever. I had to take a small, six-month break from it after writing a paper on it last May for which I listened to it about a million times a day for a week straight, but now I was cursed enough to have to hear the worst recording of it ever.
My main complaint of it was intonation. If that was a professional recording, it was definitely the "Tone-Deaf Orchestra." Mother of god.
I had to turn it off at the climactic, loud, brassy finish because my ears were bleeding too profusely (figure of speech!). How sad. And then I deleted it from my iTunes. Never will I subject myself to that torture again.
I think it may have done something to the intonation in my head, because I remedied the lack of Rimsky-Korsakov with some nice, safe Mozart...and it sounded off. It has never sounded off before, ever. *facepalm*
Sighs.
But now I feel unsatisfied for not finishing because the ending is so absolutely orgasmic. Okay. I think I may have crossed the line.
For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, yes, I wrote this post in Greek.
