Okay, okay, it's been a while...
But life goes on, as much as it may pass slowly. Bah! I just got done with work, because I spent most of my day cleaning the store (thrillsville!). Not nearly as much fun as when Megan and I had to bleach the whole damn store (minus the trees because Jonathon and that Kid had to do that - bwahaha!), but nevertheless entertaining for the day. I guess. Which says a lot about my day, since we know how much I looooooooooooove to clean (anyone seen my room?)...
So, crew morale is very low this week, it's kind of starting to suck. Morale among the leads is also low, and two of us aren't getting along terribly well with the other (note: i'm not the other). Morale among leads in the area is also low, because a bunch of us hate it, and one quit, and one demoted herself. Bah!
And my one of my favorite crew members is processing out sometime this week to go back to the UK. Damnit!!! So, no more James, but hopefully I've convinced him not to process out tomorrow, and process out on Thursday instead, since James, myself, Shtara and Ashley all have off (or mostly off) on Wednesday and are planning to hang out, go on rides, go to Goofy Golf, and finally to Steak and Shake (and sit there for three hours again! whee!)....so if he doesn't show up for work tomorrow, I will cry. Well, not really cry, but ooh, there will be troubles! Hehehe...
So, I have to come back to Ohio in October (or November?) for a wedding! I'm so excited! And I'm in the wedding party! WOOHOO! One of my favorite crew members is getting married, and she asked me to be in the wedding party! So, I have to trek back down here in October, but that's totally fine with me! I'm thrilled, and flattered as well!!!! :) So, that will be fun! I'll have to find out ASAP so I can get that off when I get a real job....
Well, air-conditioning and more laundry beckons (my own laundry only!!!!).
Ta-ta for now, kiddies!

Hmph. Vacations ought to pass slower....
Well, sadly, my time at home is nearly at an end. *sniff*
It hasn't been an exceptionally noteworthy time, though a few interesting moments, including ice cream birthday cake!!
So, Andy took me to Olive Garden for my birthday lunch yesterday. All was good, eating salad, and then they bring another couple to sit at the table across from us. Which was fine, until I realized that every time I looked up, the chick was staring at me. Not like, a glance here and there, but honestly just sitting there, staring over at us. At first I thought she knew me, but after a few quick glances (a few unobtrusive, subtle glances!), I realized that I had never seen her before in my life, so there was no chance of that. And it seriously continued the entire time that I was there....I'm not a very confrontational person but I was thisclose to being like "excuse me, can I help you???" It was really annoying. Honestly. The freak show continues.
Speaking of freaks! One of the most entertaining conversations ensued the other day on my way back from the bathroom while I was at work. I'm walking back to Snoopy, and this guy starts walking towards me. The following conversation ensued:
Strange Guy: Hi.
Me: Hi.
SG: How are you?
Me: Good.
SG: I work here.
Me: That's nice. So do I.
SG: Really? Where do you work?
Me *rolls eyes*: Right here.
SG: Oh. That's cool. I work in games.
Me: Cool.
SG: You work here before....*squints*...oh, it's your second season.
Me: Yup.
SG: Wanna go out sometime?
Me: No.

Okay, so it was way more entertaining while it was happening, because I was being so sarcastic the entire time I was talking to him (as many of you know how I get when I'm sarcastic). Heh, I'm so mean sometimes.
Oh! And I ran into creepy lifeguard guy the other day at the Commons store. I was getting a soda, and asked for $1.50 of my change in quarters.
Creepy Lifeguard: Ooh. Must be laundry day.
Me *rolling eyes*: Yup.
CL: Will you do my laundry??
Me: Uh. No.
CL: Why not?
Me: Because I don't want to.
CL: That's too bad.
Me: Not really.

Yes, I'm so nice. Mwahaha. ;)
In interesting news, I bought a car.
Thrillsville!
:)
Actually, it is pretty exciting. But no, I don't get to drive said car back to Ohio with me (damnit!!), and it's staying at my aunt and uncle's until September (or August if my incompetant manager drives me insaaaaaaaaaaaaane). So, I guess I will continue having to catch the bus that runs about 25 minutes late. Sigh....
But I have a car! Yay! So now, I don't have to worry about having to live in Milwaukee when I move back from Ohio!!! Yay!
(And my sister has now bought a Jetta. Insane.)
Well, I'm out for another couple days...my schedule for the rest of the week isn't too bad...not great, but not too bad...3-close on Thursday and Friday, and 8:15-5 on Saturday and Sunday (yea, my manager is retarded)....not even 40 hours. And who schedules someone to open on Saturday after Anal Retentive Friday????
Bah!
Back to Ohio tomorrow....
Oh!! Dana and Erin rock my socks for their birthday wishes!!!! *grins*
And Erin, I work till like 1am many, many nights, so I can completely relate! Bah to that kind of scheduling!!! :)

Oh give me a home...
Well, here I am back in Milwaukee for a couple of days....phew! Much relief from that work thing. Not that work has been bad, but, it's been long. And Kelly went to New York on Wednesday, so it's just been me and Betsy, and I've been getting the morning shifts. Which, though the hours are nice, especially being done at a specific time, has been a drag. I hate getting up early, for instance :) The morning crew is all 14 or 15, and their average IQ isn't very high (except for Jamie and Jessica). So, it's a lot of tedious babysitting, making sure they don't beat each other up, or call each other names, or spend all of their time talking instead of working, or whatever it is that they come up with. And when I say beat each other up, I mean, keep them from giving bruises or punches or whatever it is that they feel like doing. *facepalm* Then again, mornings can be amusing, like whenever I need Brandon (TL from the store next to us) to come fix something, like a jammed pucker powder tubes or if the train has fallen behind the tshirt cubes (AGAIN) and I need Brandon to come over and fix it. Then he always brings over his faithful and loyal sidekick Adam, and they cause more problems than they solve. Either way, it's always entertaining.
So, we now actually have a decent male (aside from John) that works in our store...his name is James and he's from ENGLAND!!! And he has the cutest accent, and looks perfectly adorable in Snoopy ears. It's kind of like Colin in Love Actually, except we're not supermodels and I don't think any of us want to get with him, we just like to hear him talk. Not to mention he's hilarious, and his accent makes things much funnier, because it sounds proper, even when he's complaining about stupid people! It's great.
Anyway, so I haven't really gotten all that much sleep since about 6:45 yesterday (Saturday) morning...BLAH! I had to open the store on Saturday, so I was up, showered, and out the door by 7:40, worked till 4:15, went back to my room, cleaned up the semi-mess that is my room, did laundry, went to get dinner (french fries!!!), did more laundry, watched Garfield and Friends (fell asleep for about an hour), talked on the phone, got my laundry from the dryer, packed, talked on the phone some more, went to Steak and Shake with Liz, Heather, and the random Park Plaza types, went to Walmart, got directions to the train station (that ended up being the bus station), went to get more directions, finally got right directions, went to train station, waited with the crew till 5, sent the crew home at 5 (they had to work today...suckers), waited for the train (that was supposed to be at the station at 4:30am) until SEVEN THIRTY!!! Then got on the train, and ended up sitting with PHIL, of ALL PEOPLE it HAD to be PHIL, for the ENTIRE TRIP TO CHICAGO which was about FIVE HOURS!!!!!!!!! I sort-of slept much of the way, listened to my ipod for the rest (to avoid conversation), but as Adam knows I don't sleep well in moving vehicles, so I'm still friggin exhausted. The Sandusky train did get in to Chicago at a normal hour though, so I didn't miss my other train to Milwaukee, and got back to Milwaukee at a reasonable time (2:30)....
This is when I'm happy I'm turning 22, because I did something similar to this last year, except didn't get up as early, but stayed up much later because I turned 21 and had to stay up till midnight to go to the bars...
Anyway, happy birthday to me tomorrow :)
w00t!!

Uhh, what day is it??
So, I'm now on day seven of my ten day stretch before my 4:30am train from Sandusky to Chicago (and hopefully I will make the 10:20 train to Milwaukee, otherwise Christiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnne, I'm calling you!). Well, I think it's day 7, is it Wednesday?? I mean, I think it's Wednesday, and I opened the store this morning, so I'm PRETTY sure it's Wednesday, but...
I have had a messed up schedule this week because Kelly went to New York today, and she doesn't get back until Sunday, and I leave on Sunday, so it's just me and Betsy, and then just Betsy and Kelly until Wednesday...fun times, eh? I had to close last night, then I went to Meijer's with two of my crew to get candy and stayed out till 1:30, then stayed awake til 2:30...the alarm going off at 6:45 was not welcome. BLAH! I'm so sleeping in tomorrow, probaly until it's time to go to work! Yea!
Anyway, I got a new cell phone everyone! I have no idea who has my old cell number, so if you want it, leave me a comment or send me an email, or, better yet, give me a call and leave me a message. I kind of almost sort of not really might have broke my old phone in getting up this morning....whoops. But it's functional, so I will be able to check messages, there's just no back to the phone. Me and bad luck. Boo 6:45 alarms!!! :) And I close tomorrow night (sleeping in! Hoorah!), but I open on Friday again (BLAH!). I can't wait to get back to a normal schedule.
And in the tradition of my computer usage, whenever I have free access to a computer, I have nothing interesting to report! But I'm still waiting for birthday cards. ;) Or even emails. Or a phone message!
Hint, hint....

It's official. I'm a freak magnet.
I think there must be a sign somewhere that I'm missing. I mean, seriously! It's like, a non-stop friggin train of freaks that seem to think that I want to hear their life story!!!
It all started last May, when creepy stalker Phil and his friends wandered on to my floor in Gold dorms and then all the sudden BAM! Everywhere I went, there was Phil. I managed to get rid of him when Obnoxious PA Matt decided to sit down next to me in the cafeteria in early June, and the only worthwhile thing he ever did for me was get rid of Phil. Then so Matt suddenly started appearing EVERYWHERE and I realized he was annoying on like, minute 2, and then consequently thought I liked him (newsflash: i didn't. i was just using him. not like that! and he was the worst kisser ever and I probably should have punched him.). So, I somehow manage to avoid the freakshows for July and August last year, but welcome back in 2005, and voila, the freaks ensue. Freak incident #1 happened when I met a guy from games who was sitting with the merch people and he mentioned he was from minnesota, so I said I was from wisconsin, and then he was like "did you know that you wear the same uniform (the retarded boy scout uniform) as the people in camp snoopy at the mall of america?" really. thanks, I've never heard that one before, considering this place is owned by the same company as camp snoopy at the mall of america (and also valleyfair, dorney park, michigan's adventure, geauga lake, etc). So, thank you captain obvious, I know I look retarded. (and any minnesota people, if you can now picture what I look like and make a comment, I will punch you. as soon as I see you. heehee).
Freak #2: I was waiting for the bus the other day, and had been sitting there for quite some time waiting for Heather (my roommate) to get done with work, and I made the mistake of asking someone what TIME it was, and lo and behold, I end up hearing his story about how he twisted or sprained his ankle when he was in the Marines, blah blah blah. Lesson of the day? Never ask for the time.
And finally, freak #3 on break in the caf yesterday (for my measly half hour because everyone else sucks), when I'm trying to eat pizza in peace, and end up having to hear some random lifeguard bitch and complain about the parking restrictions on the 4th of July. I wouldn't know. I don't have a car, thank you. So, if I have a sign somewhere that says "FREAK MAGNET, COME TALK TO ME IF YOU'RE A FREAK!!", please tell me so I can REMOVE IT.
And now, I'm going to go eat my frozen pizza in peace. Only eight days of work until I get to go HOME!!!!!!!
