Sometimes laziness does pay off...
At least, some of the time. I, meanwhile, have been pretty much anything but lazy (okay, that's a big fat lie), but I have been somewhat productive. Even after four straight weeks of boring job-ville, I haven't quite grasped the concept that I don't, in fact, have to do homework (wow). So, what do I do, in the meantime?
Well, things don't change all that much!! I have a list of things I should do...
1. Go to the library.
2. Go to the gym.
3. Go couch-shopping.
4. Go lamp-shopping.
5. Go buy that wedding present (okay, I'm almost done with the wedding shopping, HONEST...just one more thing).
What do I do instead??? Well...one of the girls at work introduced me to the wonders that is netflix. Oh dear, what a bad addiction!!
I'm not going to go on and on about what a bad addiction netflix is (but if you are indeed a member, let me know, and we'll be netflix friends)...but I did stumble across one of the best movies I've seen in a long time (and I watch a lot of movies) accidentally. I just finished watching it this afternoon, and wow...I highly recommend it.
(So what's the movie, Lauren?)
The movie is none other than The Chorus (Les Choristes), a 2004 French movie (French??), which I have to say was pretty remarkable. I agree that the plot itself was kind of cheesy (a prefect walks into a school for juvenile delinquent boys and transforms them by the power of a choir? please), but the film was touching. I'm probably going to have to watch it again before I give it a full-blown review, but hey, with all the movie watching I'm going to have time for, maybe I'll start another blog...one filled with my movie reviews...but we'll see.
Anyway, the real world starts too early, so I'm going to bed. Maybe I'll write more about Les Choristes when I'm more coherent (Gina, aren't you proud of me for voluntarily watching a movie in French???).
